Cairo – Pyramids of Giseh - Bahariya Oasis – New White Desert – Western White Desert – Camel ride - Bahariya Oasis - Cairo

After arriving in Cairo you are brought to a 4-5 star hotel near the Gizeh pyramids for overnight. The next morning, you enjoy a guided half-day tour through the pyramids area to discover the pyramids, the valley temple and the sphinx as well as the sun boat. A simple lunch will then be served on the way from Cairo to Bahariya, where you will arrive about 17h. This trip brings you to the first contact with the desert. In Bahariya you sleep in a simple, but nice hotel in Bawiti, the main village of the oasis of Bahariya.

The next morning you can explore the life in the oasis by donkey car, visiting also cultural sites of the oasis, the region around Bawiti is also called "the valley of the golden mummies". The afternoon is reserved for a short swim in a spring and a trip to the gardens of the oasis and to the lake of Bahariya. From there we reach our first sleeping place under the stars in the desert. 

The next day we show you first the Black Desert, named so because of its black volcanic basalt stones on the top of the hills. Then we drive to our next sleeping place in a lovely rocky region near the edge of the New White Desert.

The landcruiser brings us today first to the magic spring, a single palm tree in the middle of the desert with a water spring, then we reach the famous White Desert, where we camp, to enjoy the colours of the sunset and sunrise. After breakfast we cross the New White Desert and can admire the white sculptures made by the wind. For the lunch we drive to the Western White Desert with its massive rocks. We drive  further to the place where the the nice Khalifa camels are.

The next morning we ride for 2-3 hours on the camels and go back to Bahariya oasis, where we change the vehicles and where we prepare for our return trip to Cairo.
